You won't find my rough definition of Twitter on my consultancy's website. I was beaten down by some colleagues who thought it was unnecessary given its intended use, and they're probably right. (The why is too boring to go into.) But I didn't want to lose it so . . .
Twitter is a communication platform that individuals and organizations can use to create and learn from personal and business networks. The experience of Twitter may seem fragmented and without context. It can sometimes feel silly.
But it can be an amazing information resource in which to learn about and share news, ideas, events, and opinions. It can be a community in which to identify your unique worth or build what has been called ‘ambient intimacy’ with like-, or different-, minded colleagues, associates, customers, clients and thought-leaders.
