• It's a long way off yet, but I will be speaking at the Human Resources Professionals Association annual conference and trade show on Friday, February 4, 2011 at the Metro Convention Centre in Toronto. Great title for mypresentation I think (IMHO): "The Responsible Web - What's Next?".

• I chaired the Conference Board of Canada's CSR and Social Media conference on May 13, 2010 at the Sheraton Centre in Toronto. It featured a top notch line-up of speakers including Deb Berman, managing director of justmeans; Debbie Baxter, chief sustainability officer at LoyaltyOne, Inc.; Monica Da Ponte, manager of strategic partnerships and employee engagement at WFF-Canada; and Chris R. Jarvis, co-founder and senior consultant at Realized Worth.

• I recently chaired a conference on Social Media for the Public Sector: Applying social media best practices in government communications in Edmonton, April 13-14, 2010. At the conference, I also presented a session titled "Radical Reputation - Social Media Activism" looking at how activists and NGOs use social media to advance their policy and political agendas, strategies for launching and running your own online issue or policy 'campaign' and thoughts on deciding when and how to respond to social media confrontation.
  

• I spoke on "Managing Public Perception and Avoiding (?) Negative Press"at an Infonex conference in Toronto on January 26 & 27, 2010 called Renewable Energy Infrastructure: Navigating the complexities of renewable energy infrastructure in a rapidly changing marketplace.
